Goals

I didn't keep my momentum going when I started writing this blog in the fall. I even lost momentum when I decided at the beginning of the year that I was going to start again. I really want to change that. I want to start journaling more. I want something that both the kids and I can look back on and have as a keep sake of this very special time in our lives. Maybe this is the best place to do that? Maybe it isn't - but it's where I going to start. Maybe having it be "published" will hold me accountable and I'll stick to it! :)

21 days into the new year might be a strange time to talk about resolutions and goals. But then again maybe not. How many years do we start out strong and drop our resolutions quickly?? I know I do. Revisiting these goals I've made for myself might help keep this resolutions going strong.

My resolutions for this year:
1. Keeping a journal - As discussed above
2. Fitness - Like every other human on the planet. But I started at the beginning of December and have been doing a great job! I just want to keep it up!!
3. Photography - Photography is my passion. I just love it. I want to do a better job of getting out my camera and taking pictures everyday.

Here's hoping they stick this year! :)

First Blog Post!

Hello! Welcome to my new little corner of the internet. I am a wife and a mommy to three little boys. Which also makes me everything else in the world. A cook, designer, nurse, accountant, personal assistant,etc.... Moms you understand right?!
So since this is my first post here are a few facts about me:

I am now a stay at home mom but that is a recent thing in my life. I spent 8 years as a first grade teacher.

I love love love photography. I'm trying to get better everyday.

I like to call myself a "geographical mutt". I have lived in Texas for over 10 years now but I grew up in the Midwest. I have also spent a lot of time on the East Coast and have some family from there. My husband is from the South so I feel like they're my people too.

I strive to be positive about everything everyday. NO it doesn't always work but I try.

I love to be creative. It makes me feel like everything is balanced and right in the world when I'm creating.

So here's hoping I can keep up with this blogging thing! Cheers!
